Toronto FC opened their home schedule on Saturday to the delight of their supporters but not the members of DC United. On a frigid day at the Toronto waterfront, the field was not in ideal condition and the visitors were not impressed. "The field was crap," D.C. United forward Eddie Johnson told MLSsoccer.com on Tuesday. "Absolute crap. As much as that team is ambitious, with the acquisitions theyve made, you feel like the field would be in much better shape than that." "It was a disaster," added teammate Fabian Espindola. "An absolute disaster. There were holes, chunks of grass missing. It was as bad as any field Ive ever played on." To their credit, the United players did not blame the field conditions for the 1-0 loss and appreciated the capacity crowd. "It was a big crowd, a loud crowd, a crowd that wanted to see some quality football," added Johnson. "Being part of this league, and playing in some of the soccer-specific stadiums we play on, I can say that pitch was in very, very, very, very bad condition." Marcelo Real Madrid Jersey . Sergio Ramos Real Madrid Jersey .com) - World No. 1 Rafael Nadal, Wimbledon champion Andy Murray and four-time Australian Open titlist Roger Federer were among Mondays fourth-round winners at Melbourne Park.1. Demar DeRozan: If 129 points and 49 per cent shooting for the Lakers is any indication, it will be a challenge for the Raptors while DeRozan is out. When you lose a good player like this youre asking each guy to move up a notch and play for longer minutes in increased roles against better competition for big stretches. Usually it decreases your margin of error significantly and you get exposed. Without DeRozan, the Raps wont be able to outscore folks. Going to need better defence and be able to win ugly some nights. Good opportunity for many players to show what they have and at the same time Im sure Chicago, Washington and Cleveland are licking their chops at getting right back in the race for the top spots in the East. Tough blow to Toronto. 2. Nikola Mirotic (Bulls): Last five games hes playing an average of 28 minutes per game averaging 13 points and nine rebounds. Major step for him and the trust factor is huge considering coach Tom Thibodeau doesnt play a lot of guys--particularly young guys. Hes a terrific talent and the injuries to Taj Gibson and Joakim Noah opened the door for him and hes taken advantage. 3. Draymond Green( Warriors): Loved this guy at Michigan St.dddddddddddd and hes developed into a nice pro. His numbers are sound, 12 points, seven assists with three assists and he has a wonderful feel for the game. Hes smart and reliable on the floor. Plays hard and tough. I like what he brings to the table and accepts his role in a guard dominated system. 4. Aron Baynes (Spurs): Baynes is a system guy who fits the rugged style that they want from his position. He has developed into a sound role player for them. He shoots close to 60 per cent getting you seven and five a game. Sets hard screens, competes defensively and gets after it inside. Another example of a guy that on many other teams might not even play yet here he has value. 5. Wilson Chandler (Nuggets): They have gotten hot as a team and hes one of those guys that doesnt get lots of mention yet is a good fit for their uptempo style. He has played really well of late averaging 16 and seven while shooting 51 per cent in his last five games. The eighth year pro will never be your option one or two but hes a nice complimentary piece that is consistent at what he does. That counts for something. ' ' '
